Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality grooming services tailored to individual pet needs, ensuring every pet owner is happy and satisfied with the results
• Be gentle and patient with all pets, including those who are anxious or difficult
• Communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners to understand grooming preferences
• Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of all tools and equipment after each grooming

Required skills and qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for animals and previous experience with pet grooming
• Ability to work comfortably with animals, including anxious ones
• Ability to stand for at least two hours and lift animals weighing over 50 pounds
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
• Well-developed verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail
• A clean driving record and the ability to get to and from the van locations

About the team: Woof Gang Bakery Plymouth gives you maximum freedom to schedule the number of dogs that works for you. You are under no pressure to add dogs and possibly jeopardize the quality of your work. You can expect to earn $60K–$95K+ per year (including 50% commission and tips). Annual wage will vary based on hours worked, commission, and experience. Let us take care of the phones and the booking — we give our experienced groomers all the autonomy they need to manage their own time.

Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience grooming pets independently in a professional environment is preferred, or certification of completion from a reputable grooming school.

Now hiring an experienced Bather and Pet Groomer to join our paw-some team. We are a neighborhood salon with 6 grooming tables that prioritizes safety and quality, scheduling one pup per groomer/bather at a time. We have a fabulous retail/scheduling team that manages all the booking requests so our grooming staff can focus on pampering pups. We value quality over quantity; there is no quota or pressure.

Groomer — expectations

• Perform full-service grooming (baths, haircuts, nail trims, etc.) for a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Communicate with pet parents to achieve desired results
• Educate pet parents on coat maintenance and recommended grooming intervals to maintain healthy skin and coat and desired length
• Work as a team member to maintain a clean and safe environment

Must have experience and knowledge of breed standards/patterns; comfort handling all breeds and coat types; strong attention to detail and safety procedures; customer service and communication skills; and be able to work weekends.

Compensation: Groomer — 50% commission + tips. Bather — hourly + tips.

The business is located at my house in a beautiful country subdivision. It's just me, my other groomer Abby, and my daycare attendant Ashlyn. If you're looking for a tight-knit, drama-free environment, this is it!

We have some of the highest pricing in the area, we get a lot of good clientele, and free coffee provided by me on Fridays. This job doesn't feel like a job because my home is your home. We have a professional setup and you'll get a brand new table and a toolbox!

• Perform breed-specific and custom grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling
• Safely handle pets of various sizes, temperaments, and grooming needs
• Conduct pre-groom assessments and communicate recommendations with pet owners
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming workspace
• Monitor pets for signs of health concerns and report observations to pet owners and management
• Build positive relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment in proper working condition, and follow all safety, sanitation, and animal care protocols

Qualifications

• Knowledge of breed standards, coat types, and grooming techniques
• Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of all sizes
• Strong communication and customer service skills; reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
